* To Provide Core App Functionality:
* To perform a skin analysis based on your photograph to estimate skin tone, skin age, and hydration levels.
* To use your location to fetch real-time, localized weather data (UV Index, temperature) from Apple’s WeatherKit service.
* To use the combination of your skin analysis and local weather data to provide personalized recommendations for sun exposure and appropriate SPF.
* To Improve Our Services: We may use anonymized and aggregated data to understand user trends and improve the App’s functionality and user experience.
4. How We Share and Disclose Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information with third-party service providers as necessary to provide the App’s features.
* Google (Gemini API for Skin Analysis): To provide our skin analysis feature, we securely transmit the photograph you provide to Google’s Gemini API for automated processing. Google’s use and temporary storage of this data are governed by their API terms and data policies, which state that this data is not used for training their AI models. We do not share any other personal information with Google.
* Apple (WeatherKit for Weather Data): To provide localized weather data, we send your location coordinates to Apple’s WeatherKit service. Apple’s handling of this data is governed by Apple’s privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
We are committed to retaining your data only for as long as necessary.
* Photographs: We do not store your photograph. It is processed in real-time and discarded immediately after the analysis is complete and the results have been sent back to your device.
* Location Data: We do not store your historical location data. Your location is used only to make a real-time request for current weather conditions.
* Analysis Results: The results of your skin analysis (e.g., skin tone, recommended tan time) are stored securely and locally on your device. This data is retained until you choose to delete it or uninstall the App.
